AC Milan’s strategy for last summer signing
AC Milan will make one last signing before the transfer window is closed and all efforts are concentrated in defence.
The summer transfer business of AC Milan has now been outlined in recent hours. The Rossoneri, having closed the acquisition of Diogo Dalot, who today will sign the contract that will bind him to the Diavolo for a year, are concentrating all their efforts in defence, considered a necessity by Stefano Pioli.
The hot name, as reported, is that of Ozan Kabak of Schalke 04. Talks have continued with the German club but there’s quite a distance between the parties. Milan are offering 15 million for Kabak while Schalke demand at least 25 million.
This is not the first time Milan are after Kabak. The Rossoneri had agreed his signing from Stuttgart last summer but at the end he preferred to join Schalke 04 rejecting Milan’s offer. Alternatives are also being evaluated, represented above all by Rudiger and Pezzella.
Rudiger has been offered by Chelsea while an official bid for German Pezzella has been rejected by Fiorentina. Rudiger is an easier player to sign on loan by surely Chelsea will want a considerable fee to make the transfer permanent. On the other hand, Fiorentina want 20 million for Pezzella.
The Bakayoko track has been completely abandoned. The French midfielder will return to Serie A but he will join his former coach Gennaro Gattuso at Napoli. No midfielders will arrive reports Corriere dello Sport and the attack is also closed with the purchase of Hauge.
